Skyrim world ports need help

Hello Skyrim Nexus community, I request some technical help with the world I am making.

 

I started the world when Dawnguard came out and I would greatly appreciate being able to use the content in the newer DLC's.

 

So my problem is I don't know how to add the DLC files to my mod, if their is anyone out there that can give me a hand with this it would be greatly appreciated.

You dont need to do anything to the dlcs unless you want to directly change something in them. You dont have to do anything extra.

But say you wanted to add crossbows from dawnguard to the list of things your mod changes. Then you would just load dawnguard.esm along with skyrim.esm, edit the crossbows and save. Your mod now requires dawnguard to run and your done. Sorry for the full procedure. Wasnt sure what part your having trouble with.

But I can only use things from the Dawngaurd DLC, lets say I wanted to put just a normal vanilla weapons from Dragon born I can't.

Or I want to use a new texture from the DLC I can't, any ideas why?

You own dragonborn right?

 

If you want things like textures you need to extract dragonborn.bsa. Its kinda like a .zip file.

I use BSAopt but there are many others to use.

I think OP meant like adding crossbows into Solstheim.

Doable, you need to alter leveled lists, add crossbows to them, HOWEVER, It's highly suggested that you add new leveled lists and edit existing ones to make it so that draugrs never spawn with crossbows, because they can't use them.
