Halithorn
Well now that Bethesda has done most of the work with the dragon riding, is it even possible to get in there and finish the other 10% by adding some level of dragon steering? Even as elementary as "go north, northeast, southwest, etc."? ideally... it would be just the use of the left and right arrow to get him in different directions
Rain36
Well now that Bethesda has done most of the work with the dragon riding, is it even possible to get in there and finish the other 10% by adding some level of dragon steering? Even as elementary as "go north, northeast, southwest, etc."? ideally... it would be just the use of the left and right arrow to get him in different directions I agree, as many doBut basically, I think bethesda did a good job in not making it fully controlable since a dragon simply is not a horse, it's an ancient, intelligent being unlike a horse which was drilled to obey (sorry pony fans!). The only thing I would like to be added to the current dragon riding topic is that he flys towards the personal map mark just the way he flys back to where you took him from once you leave him. I'm just bothered with that fast travel aspect, i don't need a dragon for this. my idea for patching this would sound like that: When you mount a dragon and fast-travel somewhere and then dismount him, he flys straight back to where he came from. Now couldn't the own mapmarker get the function of that "homepoint"? That you point somewhere and thus move the dragons territory somewhere else so he automatically "returns" there? I think that would do it for now, would be easier than creating an entirely new aspect such as riding a dragon like a horse.. Hope someone can realise that little bidding =)
Halithorn
This guy has the right idea for what I wanted and added a few other good steps. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/31697 I use Wyre Bash so I haven't had many huge problems (script did not work well with just nexus mod manager), but I would like a few more updates on compatilibity as well. If you keep calling odahviing like 5 times in a row it can sometimes mess up the command script. I have quite a few dragon motifying mods too, so, if it was going to break, it would break on my game. Still as always back up saves. Note: Don't try to do the mod without watching his guide video first! Edited March 25, 2013 by Halithorn
