Problem with Sahrotaar

When I mount Sahrotaar he flies off but just leaves me hanging in mid air. I get the "fly dragons instruction pop up" but nothing happens so I'm completely stuck there. I have no mods installed that could possibly cause this. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

I have the same exact problem and this is the only post iv'e found that even talks about it so i'm guessing its a pretty rare glitch. I'm sorry i cant help you i just wanted you to know you are not alone. Also when Mirrak tries to fly away on him the first time you see him the same thing happens to him so im not sure what is going on.

(the only way i could figure out how to progress is to use TCL in the console after you "stop riding" the dragon where you havent moved and just fly over to the huge pillar straight ahead from the word wall. the fight is also glitchy as hell so be prepared to quicksave a lot after sections of the fight. I hope that helps.)

I´ve got the same bug, but after I unistalled all skeleton and animation mods, like Realistic Ragdolls and Force or Dual Sheats plus Shields on Back, I can ride dragons now, but I don´t get any riding animation, I still "stand" on the dragon. any ideas?

EDIT: I fixed it now, after deleting all .esp of these mods, now all works fine.

This is supposedly a Skeleton Bug, as the game seems to need to 'bind' the player and Dragon Together at a specific bone

This means, if you have a skeleton mod for -either- it will bug up like this. I recommend 'test' removing any skeletons for the Human and Dragons, and seeing what works or doesnt.

If not, go to your mesh folder and test which file is preventing your Dragon Riding.

This can be accomplished by temporarily renaming the folders at hand one by one, as renaming them makes it so the game wont read them until the excess giberrish in the folder name is gone
