There's Tactical Immortality: http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/17337 The Description says: "This mod will flag the player as essential. Instead of dying, you will fall unconscious like any essential NPC." I've not tried it but it sounds like what you're looking for. Hope this helps!
