Skyrim Dragonborn DLC Ash Cloud Bug

I've tried the code and the code itself worked but it did not solve my problem. The only other thing I can think of is that it's not an Ash Guardian effect but maybe just Ash Spawn effect. I don't honestly know if it makes a difference but maybe it does.

Where do you put 04 that the one poster mentioned ? I put in the code and nothing at all happens it does not seem to recognize the code at all?

Okay got it too work, I guess my code was 02 not 04...weird

Sorry to necro a very old thread but I'm having the same issue except nothing here worked.
And I'm positive it's not the Ash Guardian. I fought the ash guardian and came back to mainland skyrim and noticed ash clouds everywhere I went
no matter what I do there's ash clouds rising up out of the ground. After some experimentation I found that saving in Solstheim and loading causes the
ash to become persistent. I went to Solstheim, did the Ash Guardian quest and came back without loading at all and it was fine. The moment I load a
file in Solstheim the ash cloud effect is applied permanently.

 

I tried:

* Reloading the save file

* Restarting game

* Console: Player.AddSpell 05027bfb; Player.RemoveSpell 05027bfb (My dragonborn dlc is at index 05) (No effect)
* Console: Player.SetRace dlc2ashguardian; Player.SetRace bretonrace (I play a breton) (No effect)
* Console: Player.Resurrect 1 -> Save game -> reload (All effects removed from player but ash clouds persist)
* Fast traveling (No effect)
* Forcing weather change in console (ash cloud persists through new weather system)
* Console: player.dispelallspells (no effect)
None of this worked... This is so annoying and my dragonborn dlc is unplayable without condemning my save file to always have this annoying effect forever...
Please help
