Fazolt
THIS IS A POST ASKING FOR HELP TO INSTALL TEXTURE/MESH REPLACER MODS THAT COME WITHOUT AN ESP OR ESM FILE. Thanks. Any help that could be provided will be appreciated! First some background on my modding knowledge, I'm competent when it comes to this type of thing, but I play on a mac, using an emulation program known as wine, which may lead to certain complications. This shouldn't lead to any though, just answer my question as if I were a normal PC user and things should work fine. I'm currently playing with a heavily modded version of Morrowind (about 20 mods) with which I have encountered no problems. I have a question pertaining to modding (obviously), this question asks how to intall a mod for Morrowind without without an ESP, or ESM master file. Essentially a mod that only replaces texture/meshes. I use the steam version of Morrowind and installed this mod as a test: http://morrowind.nexusmods.com/mods/39431 Now, after having installed this texture/mesh replacer mod, by placing all the mod files in their corresponding folders, I decided to test this mod and see if it worked, seeing as the mod comes with no ESP or ESM files which give Morrowind commands to fetch these textures or meshes and place them appropriately given the ESM/ESP file's commands. So, I spawned Dagoth Ur and he appeared as the VANILLA version of Dagoth Ur, not the version with the recently installed meshes/textures. One thing I think is important given that this mod is intended to be a MESH/TEXTURE replacer is that when I had my first unmodded copy of Morrowind, I had no texture or mesh files, and to install mods I had to create my own mesh/texture/icons folders. SO for TEXTURE/MESH replacer mods there is nothing for them to overwrite. So when I placed the files from this mod (http://morrowind.nexusmods.com/mods/39431) into their corresponding folders nothing was replaced within the mesh/texture folders, the mod didn't overwrite any textures, it simply added new textures and meshes which weren't originally in the folder. If anyone has any information on how to install mods that come WITHOUT an ESP or ESM I would LOVE any support they could provide. dakty
i'll try and help.if in the readme with those files stats it replaces thing you drop all the files to your data folder inside morrowind and your done. if it say's it's modders resource you will have to do the same but you will have to open up the construction set and add the objects yourself.you could have a look at this sitehttp://www.mwmythicmods.com/toolsmod.htm#Tool_m_rtit explains a lot on how to import custom objects to the game
