Scipio65
Hello ... I guess this isn't really a troubleshooting kind of a question or a bug report etc.. but a technical question on the mod loaders. I have Nexus and used it exclusively before Steam put out the modding program and the Workshop... Now I have about 1/2 Nexus and 1/2 Workshop mods.. and I have the SKSE and have discovered I love it. My question is how can I use them all .. or something. If I just run Skyrim from Steam it auto-updates the mods and that's good.. but it doesn't have the SKSE and all of that stuff. (I haven't played the game in a few months since before the latest DLC's). If I run it using SKSE I'm worried its not updating any of the mods from Workshop or Nexus. Is there a way to connect all of these mod loading programs into a bat file maybe? I am frankly kind of lost. Thanks all.. and forgive me if this has been asked and answered.. evidently I can't search worth a damn either. Scipio65
Well after looking around I found out that you can add the SKSE exe into the TESV exe in some hex editor fashion.. renaming the files etc... then run it.. But I haven't found anything about being able to combine the various mod loaders somehow and just run 1 program to start the game. Other suggestions were to run it off of Steam.. let the mods update, then exit and run SKSE afterwards. I ran the BOSS program to sort out any errors and such and that's fantastic. It made a good list on load orders and such, but that seems to change all the time from Steam to Nexus and I will move stuff up and down and I have to do it again when I run it. I am not certain about the BASH deal and combining stuff to make a big patch / mod deal.. I need to read up on that more. I'm not sure I'm exactly comfortable with the hex edit solution with SKSE either. If anyone can point me in the right direction for a good thread explaining all of this I would be greatly appreciative. Thanks
modder3434
skip all that fancy stuff, just launch skyrim from steam so you get to the launcher menu and wait until workshop updates thier mods. then close that launcher and then launch an play the game from the skse launcher. Thanks man.. That does seem to be the best option for me truly.. instead of mucking about inside programs and such.
