TzToppDogg
Hey Guys, am I the only one think that the figters guild have lame quest? I mean come on, in a world full of daedra, outlaws and evil liches lurking in ruins, no one ever sends the fighters to clear the threat in the ruins and caves, because "Oooooohhhh......I got rats in the basement!!!". That needs to change i the future TES games. I'd like to see some real quests, that actually NEED FIGTERS!!! Imaging getting a contract, were vampires are stealing victims every night in the same city, and you are to go to their evil lair and slay them all, and get the ashes of the wampire lord as a proof of his death. Or maybe a huge ogre is killing every one travelling one the roads between to citys, and you are to slay it. Think of a quest were you are to clear a ruin of goblins, and when you are about to leave the goblin cave, suddenly another goblin tribe comes to the cave and want the shaman staff from the goblins you just killed, and you have to give them the staff, or you could take your huge warhammer, and start smashing skulls. If they made that kinda quest, you would starting to see yourself more as a great warrior. I didn't feel like a great warrior, when i was assignet to kill 3 lions. Thats not a real task for a hero. Remember the REAL QUEST in most of the older RPG's like Baldur's Gate and diablo, when you were asked to do almost PSYCHO QUESTS! and you allways made a list of how many potions, magic weapons and teleport spells that you had to by, just to survive. I miss those days. So if you would like to do "real quests" only for fighters, please write what you have in mind.
LoginToDownload
Well, it's not actually killing rats, and you are an Associate... Or maybe a huge ogre is killing every one travelling one the roads between to citys, and you are to slay it.You already do that, except it's to rescue a damsel in distress instead of as a matter of public safety. And it's probably better to send a mage against an Ogre anyways. :P I know there are two Fighter's Guild quests involving clearing out Goblin dungeons, and I think there's a third. Keep in mind, the Fighter's Guild aren't heroes. They're mercenaries for hire. Matters of public security would usually be taken to the Watch/Legion, who are too busy to deal with private matters. I'm sure they could find time to wipe out a vampire den, though; especially since they're already armed to the teeth with silver weapons. The oppressed villagers aren't even likely to have enough money to set such a major contract up. It also doesn't help that the Blackwood Company keeps undercutting them. fabulance
If you advance in quests of the FG, you will see that the quests are more elaborated and sometimes a bit difficult, depends on the caracter. I enjoyed the FG and I am a mage. and what LTD sais the members of the FG are not heroesadvance in the quests and you will enjoy and also you will earn some money
Morrighan Acolyte
I've always liked to think of that quest as a tribute to old Morrowind players and the Fighter's Guild rat's quest in MW. But I can see your point. However, the Fighter's Guild accepts jobs from townspeople who ask them. So if someone asks them to kill a bunch of rats and they're paid for it then they'll give the job to an inexperienced associate.

I think a contract to kill a tribe of ogres that have been bothering the Legion by killing all their foresters would be good.
araashan
What could be cool would be conflicts between the guilds, like in Morrowind. I'm sure they're a lot of citizens who have problems with members of the thieves guild or dark brotherhood, some of them might want to hire the fighter's guild to solve that problem after the guards/legion failed. LoginToDownload
I thought ogre's were immune to magical attacks? At least in Vanilla, their only special attribute is Weakness to Poison.
Sojiro
Oh and I think it's hinted at that...the Blackwood company is taking up most of the contracts. So the Fighter's Guild gets the crappy ones.

Ivy
Fighter's Guild contract killing rats refers back to the first job you are sent on from the Fighter's Guild in Morrowind. I certainly appreciated that THIS jpb was saving the rats and not killing them!! I got a good laugh the first time I played it!
