LE Hopefully A Relatively Simple Armor Request

I'm really just hoping for a texture swap. I'd really like to see some great-looking scale armor in the game, particularly the female set, and I don't mean dragon scales.

 

To that end, I'd like to see a texture that replaces the leather scales with metal ones, something like I began to do here... before I realized that I really know nothing about texturing or creating normal maps or specularity. Also I'd like to see all that ugly, raggedy fur on the skirt disappear, replaced with scales, or light chainmail, or even just some nice cloth or leather. Actually, some cleaner, better-looking leather all around would be nice.

 

To be perfectly honest, ideally I'd like to replace the leg part with the leather armor skirt and maybe add sleeves, but the problem is that I need the model to use the standard texture or else I can't use it with armor replacers for body-swappers. While I do want better-looking scale armor in general, I also have a particular character in mind for this stuff, and I use a BodySlide-customized CBBE body on her. The stock texture works fine for the BodySlide-enabled CBBE armor conversions, but if there is a whole different model for it then it won't really work out unless it is made BodySlide CB++ compatible. If someone could make all that happen I'd practically explode with delight, but I imagine that's a lot of work. Just a good re-texture would make me a very happy person.
