[Blender 2.83/2.9]Problems with baking texture maps

Hello all. So I have been working on this armor project for a while now and I was hoping to start merging certain sections of the mesh and bake their textures onto one map to reduce clutter. In this case I tried to bake a diffuse map with no lighting but I ended up with a "blank" wwhite texture map. Both my shading and baking tab are set up based on how Grant Abbitt did in his tutorials. I can't make sense of it and I'd appreciate any inputs.
