Dragonskin777
Hi all, new to the modding community, so be gentle :smile:So i had an idea for a long follower quest. Not sure if it's been done before. When your smithing hits acertain level, next time your at an inn an NPC will start a conversation, a mage archer that has lost an eye in battle. Wearing an eyepatch, is really bad at archery, and a mediocre restoration healer. Offers to tag along (not counted as a follower) only able to perform low level healing and bad at anything that needs depth perception. Any request to be a follower is denied as doesn't feel up to the task. Next inn, an NPC remarks on a Legend of a replacement eye (a lens held in a Dweemer artifact), which starts the quest go talk to the librarian at Winterhold. He sends you off to quest for the book. The book sends you on a quest to retrieve a Dweemer artifact. The "lens" is constructed from either Aura's Star, Black Star or a third different Star. Fill up with souls, next a quest to a Dweemer forge where you craft the Eye using dwarven smithing. Return to Winterhold, get together Collette Marence the restoration mage and Nelecar the elven mage to perform the installation of the eye. With the new eye fitted the NPC will become a full follower. still wears an eyepatch, but with a slit in it - too powerful to behold! Depending on which star is used different benefits. New magic spells, magical arrows, and once every 5 days can remove eyepatch for an awesome spell.
