Tried almost everything CTD driving me crazy

HI Everyone.

I realize that there are like a million of these types of topics both on this forum and on the net. I know because I have researched and read scores of them in an attempt to resolve my issue.

I have random crash to desktop issues, which seem to occur right after missing textures start to show up, either 15-20 min of play or when in a object intense area like Whiterun.

Below is my load order/mod list:

I have moved the order around manually, used Boss, cleaned up the edits using TES5Edit, used Wrye Bash, experimented with adding adjustments to my .ini file to help manage draw distance and number of objects, compressing the image files, using game booster, using SkyrimAttk, lowering shadows to medium and low, and adding the 3gig switch in the Windows boot ini.

System information:

Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3 (2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.120821-1629)

System Manufacturer: EVGA__

BIOS: Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG

Processor: Intel® Core2 Quad CPU Q9400 @ 2.66GHz (4 CPUs)

Memory: 2814MB RAM

Page File: 1064MB used, 4417MB available

Windows Dir: C:\WINDOWS

DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)

Display Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti

Sound Card: SB Audigy 2 ZS Audio [8C00]

Only things remaing is re-install, which upto this point I have done everything possible to avoid, such a pain in the arse.

Can someone look over my mod list and load order and let me know if to more trained eyes, either conflicting mods are listed or the load order is way off.

Thanks a Billing oh Lords of the Skyrim,

Robert

Can you replace your load order with a BOSS log (with the messages)? Include the list of plugins not recognized by BOSS if one is generated, and enclose them in spoiler tags so they don't clutter up the screen.

right after missing textures start to show up, either 15-20 min of play or when in a object intense area like Whiterun.

I am assuming the 'missing textures' are completely random objects (rather than, the same modded objects all the time, which would mean that mod was not properly installed). Sounds like a VRAM related issue. Try updating your GPU driver.

Also, can you provide more details for your CTDs? Mostly outdoor? In interior cells? During combat? With many followers? That sort of thing.

IC-HearthfireEmittanceEnhancement_White.esp Active

No in regards to the Unrecognized mods. I followed the directions asking to provide a download link to the mod, and upon doing so got a message that a submission was found and that the plugin would be updated, but further scans continue to put it in the unrecognized section.

In regards to the missing textures. Most of the time it starts off with messing textures in the inventory screen, followed by in game, mostly items starting with fur items, armor weapons both mod and vanilla items.

In regards to when it crashes the vast majority its random outside, more in settlements and transitions to outside cells. This happens with no to a couple of followers.

In regard to VRAM: Paging File size: 4221mb - 10826mb

GPU is updated 310.90

Thanks again guys.

Any and all advise is welcome.

1) Cleaning: you should clean the plugins flagged by BOSS as containing "dirty edits." Download TES5Edit from that link and follow the instructions on the page if you need them.

2)

Smithing Perks Overhaul - Balanced.esp Active

Note: Does not contain unexpected (or out of order) records or TESVSnip truncation issues as found in other mods by various authors. However, a newer esp fixed and cleaned with TES5Edit can be obtained here that may provide added stability. (Compatibility Patch)

Note: Use 'Smithing Perks Overhaul - Balanced.esp' with Complete Crafting Overhaul mod

Complete Crafting Overhaul.esp Active

Note: Does not contain unexpected (or out of order) records or TESVSnip truncation issues as found in other mods by various authors. However, a newer esp fixed and cleaned with TES5Edit can be obtained here that may provide added stability. (Compatibility Patch)

Note: Will conflict with mods that modify existing recipes.

Make sure you click on the link supplied for these plugins to download and install their updated fixed patches if you have not already. Go through the BOSS log to check and see if there are any other plugins in need of updates, in case I missed them.

3) You should have RaceMenu active only when you want to change your character's appearance. Otherwise, disable it or uninstall it.

4) Random outdoor CTDs are generally caused by mods that edit the worldspace, usually mods that add spawns and spawn points (like SkyTest, Warzones), but I don't see the usual culprits in your load order. If your outdoor CTDs are reproducible (always in the same spots), then it's often mods that make locational changes (like overhauling a settlement), but I don't recognize anything in your load order which does that (but then I don't recognize all of the plugins). So if something comes to mind, you can try disabling mod you know that make that sort of edits to see if your game stabilizes. Otherwise, I recommend uninstalling CoT and see if it helps.

5) Have you uninstalled some mods in the past and continued with the save game? You can post your papyrus log if you have them enabled. But post a fresh log. Delete all of your existing logs, play the game until you CTD, and post that log (enclose in a spoiler tag).

6) Not sure why items are 'losing textures.' I assume, based on your description, that these items starts out looking just fine, but as you play the game, textures start to 'dissappear' (as opposes to some items never having proper textures at all, which would point to an installation issue). Can you post some screenshots?
