rfountain
HI Everyone. I realize that there are like a million of these types of topics both on this forum and on the net. I know because I have researched and read scores of them in an attempt to resolve my issue. I have random crash to desktop issues, which seem to occur right after missing textures start to show up, either 15-20 min of play or when in a object intense area like Whiterun. ripple
Can you replace your load order with a BOSS log (with the messages)? Include the list of plugins not recognized by BOSS if one is generated, and enclose them in spoiler tags so they don't clutter up the screen. right after missing textures start to show up, either 15-20 min of play or when in a object intense area like Whiterun. I am assuming the 'missing textures' are completely random objects (rather than, the same modded objects all the time, which would mean that mod was not properly installed). Sounds like a VRAM related issue. Try updating your GPU driver. Also, can you provide more details for your CTDs? Mostly outdoor? In interior cells? During combat? With many followers? That sort of thing. Edited February 9, 2013 by ripple

ripple
1) Cleaning: you should clean the plugins flagged by BOSS as containing "dirty edits." Download TES5Edit from that link and follow the instructions on the page if you need them. 2) Smithing Perks Overhaul - Balanced.esp ActiveNote: Does not contain unexpected (or out of order) records or TESVSnip truncation issues as found in other mods by various authors. However, a newer esp fixed and cleaned with TES5Edit can be obtained here that may provide added stability. (Compatibility Patch)Note: Use 'Smithing Perks Overhaul - Balanced.esp' with Complete Crafting Overhaul modComplete Crafting Overhaul.esp ActiveNote: Does not contain unexpected (or out of order) records or TESVSnip truncation issues as found in other mods by various authors. However, a newer esp fixed and cleaned with TES5Edit can be obtained here that may provide added stability. (Compatibility Patch)Note: Will conflict with mods that modify existing recipes. Make sure you click on the link supplied for these plugins to download and install their updated fixed patches if you have not already. Go through the BOSS log to check and see if there are any other plugins in need of updates, in case I missed them. 3) You should have RaceMenu active only when you want to change your character's appearance. Otherwise, disable it or uninstall it. 4) Random outdoor CTDs are generally caused by mods that edit the worldspace, usually mods that add spawns and spawn points (like SkyTest, Warzones), but I don't see the usual culprits in your load order. If your outdoor CTDs are reproducible (always in the same spots), then it's often mods that make locational changes (like overhauling a settlement), but I don't recognize anything in your load order which does that (but then I don't recognize all of the plugins). So if something comes to mind, you can try disabling mod you know that make that sort of edits to see if your game stabilizes. Otherwise, I recommend uninstalling CoT and see if it helps. 5) Have you uninstalled some mods in the past and continued with the save game? You can post your papyrus log if you have them enabled. But post a fresh log. Delete all of your existing logs, play the game until you CTD, and post that log (enclose in a spoiler tag). 6) Not sure why items are 'losing textures.' I assume, based on your description, that these items starts out looking just fine, but as you play the game, textures start to 'dissappear' (as opposes to some items never having proper textures at all, which would point to an installation issue). Can you post some screenshots? Edited February 10, 2013 by ripple
