Falsify
Alright, first off I'm going to introduce myself. I'm Dylan, a Fallout fanatic, but moreover, a Black Isle fanatic. :wallbash: Too bad they're gone. Stupid stupid STUPID STUPID! Anyways, here's what the post's about. I propose Project Fallout. Now, just to scare all ye non-adventurous, I need help with many parts of said Project. PF will be split into many parts, and knowing me, only one or two will ever get finished. 1.) Fallout 1 ported to the Fallout 3 engine.2.) Fallout 2. These are NOT the high priority. Not by a long shot, they're the final desires.3.) Fallout 3: Trouble in London4.) Fallout 3.5 (The big deal, ask for more at my e-mail. [email protected])5.) Notice the lack of the original Fallout Humor? I mean sure, we got Butcher Pete, but think about it. No talking brahmin? Puh-lease. The work to make Fallout 3 a sibling of 1 and 2. Or at least a child.6.) Interesting new gameplay/roleplay additions.7.) (Last one. Happy?) An Online Fallout world. Though, I may leave this to someone else. This is not my forte. Nor a big desire, just an idea. Feel free to criticize (Not jackassery) or offer to help. Yes, I'm insane. :thanks:
Slyvena1
Impossible, not to sound mean but unless your an entire development studio you'll never finish. Okay so maybe you'll finish one but porting the first 2 games or an online fallout, don't get me wrong I'd love that but it's just not going to happen. Ever... ultimatexeo
Actually, fallout online might be the easiest. If oblivion online's code/work/etc can be turned over easily. if.
davidzaccaro
Well if you get All the Things from Fallout 1 well the Text from Every Single Thing (Quest,Dialogue) Some sounds from certain Characters,Perks,NCPs and you would also need The Map (A.K.A All The Locations In The Game) New Textures,Meshes, And Lots Of Time...and adding Voice Acting i think it will be  not Viable in this case...... NOT BY being a Complete %&$!, but it will need Lots of Time and if This Would be possible i would Be SCREAMING AND CRYING IN JOY but i would Take LOTS,LOTS,LOTS,LOTS,LOTS of time Well maybe if you Start with the COMPLETE MAP OF IT.....IT STILL TAKE A LONG LONG TIME.......But In Life Nothing Is Imposible, Just Not Easy. CowgirlFromHell
Well, once I get my reformatted PC, if you want any help as in "testing" then I'd be glad to help. But don't expect me to be of much help with the modding aspect of this project. Good luck though, even if the odds are kind of a long shot that you'll get this done before you get bored of it. Falsify
The odds aren't against me as much as they think. It's not as if I'm making a brand new game. I'm porting a story. However, as I stated, the first two aren't high priority. And that means that they'll likely be the last to be worked on. Trouble in London is a mini-main quest. It's a large quest, and unless you contact me elsewhere, ToL and F3.5 are not explained further. So, from now on I'd prefer you read closely before commenting. It helps. A Fallout MMORPG would be odd. And I doubt it would be called by Fallout. It would probably have BoS somewhere in the title, at the least. Cowgirl, thank you, and I'll remember that. Feel free to e-mail me so I know how to contact you. In all, it takes less time than you think, and with a few more weeks I'll be up and running with enough ability to be working at a decent speed. crmcduff
I imagained fallout 3 online more like a shooter with the BOS vs. muties and so on
Falsify
That's all an MMORPG would be, but with a few more factions. There would be a lack of... Vault-faction, I guess you would call it? It would be an MMOFPS instead of an MMORPG, though I don't see a problem with making it an MMORPG with a bit of ingenuity. Fallout 3 Online however, would be just like the Oblivion online mod. Go check it out.
