race mod help plz

If they're not even showing up, maybe you didn't unpack the files correct or failed to activate the mods at all?

.esp and .esm files go into \Oblivion\data

same with the meshes and textures folders, which should combine with your \Oblivion\data\meshes and \Oblivion\data\meshes\textures

You should double check that they're in the correct place because sometimes we accidentally extract only one file, or we drag and drop and thus extract to the wrong folder

Then you should make sure that you actually activate these mods, whether by selecting them in the normal launcher (by going to Data Files) or whatever other mod manager you're using (if you're using them it seems unlikely that you would forget this step, though).

im using obmm for cute elves and exnems, also tried rar version of cute elves. bodies show up fine for exnems, i just still have ugly faces. as far as cute elves, i have it activated in data files. might not have put files in right with rar version but i would think the obmm version wsould have installed right?

atm im just using the exems and cute elves to work. are the mod files supposed to be extracted into the oblivion bsa files or are they supposed to work in their own seperate data folders. i have them in program files > bethesda > oblivion > data then in meshes/textures and so on for their respective locations in the data folder. but i noticed offical oblivion stuff is in the bsa thingys. if i remember correctly in morrowind mod files and offical game content shared the same folder. is it different in this. no idea what im missing to get these to work. again have tried with and without obmm. using obmm i have only got the main body for exnems to show up which turns all the females into butter girls " gotta hot body but her face! lol" anyways any ideas? image is after i uninstalled obmm.

  • 4 weeks later...

Bumpin' this thread 'cause I'm also having some issues too.

I'm trying to get the Corean race mod working but to no avail.

I'm using OMOD for it, and so far it's the only race mod I have installed.

I checked to make sure all the files were in their place and they art. The Corean mod follows "/Oblivion/Data/Meshes/Characters/ [etc...]" with directories for Eyes, hair, etc, and the proper files are inside them.

The .esp file is checked and it's also the third one that's loaded (after the unofficial oblivion patch).

Am I missing something?

Here is an easy way to get a load list using OBMM.

Of course you have to be running OBMM first to do this.

On the right, click on the box that says Import/Export

Select the top entry on the drop down list, View Load Order

Your load order will be displayed

On the top left, click in the disk icon – a save box will pop up.

First you need to tell it where to save your list – the desktop is a good place and easy to find.

Next, go down to the second block at the bottom to select the save as type:

Pick Plain Text (*.Txt)

Now, in the File name block type in a name, such as Load List

Now you can copy your load list into the forum topic.

Alrighty, here's my load order:

Oblivion.esm

Unofficial Oblivion Patch.esp

_Ren_BeautyPack_full.esp

IDKRRR_C_race.esp

I've disabled all my other mods for trouble shooting.

Since the last post I've installed Ren's Beauty Pack. The mystic elves race works just fine, so it must be something I'm doing wrong with the Corean race, but I don't have a clue what it is.

I'm gonna try some other things to see if I can't get it working.

I should probably point out that I'm also running the Windows 7 beta. I hope that doesn't have anything to do with it.

Edit: OK, I just finished doing a manual install of the mod (vs. creating an OMOD out of it) and the race still won't show up.

I'm out of ideas.

OK, I think I figured out what the problem was.

I was using a NoDVD executable file that was stuck on v1.0.228 or what have you, and it wouldn't update at all.

I replaced it with the original executable that has the right version number now.

Everything is working now.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for telling us what the problem was. We get too many that once it works, they go back to playing and forget all about everyone else that is watching the thread to find out.

Keep us filled in on the Windows 7. :thanks:
