pipelighter
Hi all I have Vista Ultimate 64 bit and have loaded Construction set. It fires up fine and allows me to change the data tables and all else etc but as soon as I click on Generate the thing just sits there with that stupid little circle. I thought it might take a little time but 2 hours later (I ate supper and watched the news) it was still on the circle thingy so obviously not working. When I went to close it Vista told me it had a problem _perspicacious of it!!! I Know it has a problem!!! Trouble is -- what, if anything, can I do about it?? Is this a 64 bit question or do I have to load up a 32 bit system??Can I just take all the Data ESP/ESM files and stick them on a laptop - run TC Set and then put them Back or won't TC work?? I have Oblivion installed in directory e:\oblivion in the hopes of avoiding most of the construction set problems and low - I get a new one!!!! :verymad:
ZableBlaze
This is a long time problem for the construction set. Bethesda has failed to provide any combatibility for Vista users. There's no guarentee that if you go to 32bit it will still work. I use Vista Home Premium 32 bit, and I cannot edit or add dialogue, which has been a problem for two years. Fortunately I have XP 32 also so will load and use in that then transfer finished articles to game. Of course this does mean I have to load up Oblivion twice so Bethesda really are shooting themselves in the foot! Still that's their problem.
