Reserrved
Sorry if this has been talked about but i've installed a few gun mods and the mods that have specific locations (doc's house, goodspring school) arent showing up. But i also have a glock mod that is buyable at the gun runner vendor and it works perfectly. Any help? console commands or something? thanks for any help
DigitalBoy760
So, the guns are where the mod author(s) say they should be, but the cases containing whatever mods (scope, high cap magazine, suppressor, whatever) aren't? I encountered a similar issue when I used FNV Plugin 1.7 to merge ~30+ individual weapon ESP files into one to help alleviate savegame bloat and speed up load times. It helped, especially after restarting a new game, and the weapons and starter ammo were there, but the add ons weren't. I attribute that to something not getting saved in the merge. Easy way to check is get the FormIDs for the modifications from FNVEdit, and make a text file to add them. The console command format is "player.additem XX000ABC 1". Player.additem is pretty self explanatory, it's telling the game to give you something. The XX000ABC is the actual FormID, where XX is a hexadecimal value determined by the specific mod's load order. If it's 12th in line (starting counting from 0), then the FormID would be 0B000ABC. If you use Nexus Mod Manager, it gives you the load order number so you don't have to convert decimal to hex. Then you tell it how many of them you want, which is the "1" after the FormID. Make a line like that for every mod to the weapon, save the text file in your main Fallout New Vegas directory (where FNVlauncher.exe is located), and when you've loaded your game, open the console and use the "bat" command; e.g "bat mytextfile" and it will run all those commands as if you'd typed them in manually. If you did it correctly, you'll see them in your inventory, and be able to add them to your weapons, along with the parade of notifications that "Player just received 1 AK-47 silencer, Player just received 1 Glock extended magazine" et cetera. As for why it happens, couldn't tell you. Maybe try backing up your savegames somewhere and re-starting the game from scratch and see if the mods appear with the weapons, or use Nexus Mod Manager to uninstall them, save your game after sleeping/waiting 3 in-game days, then reinstall them and go back to Goodsprings/wherever and get them and see if the mods are with the weapons.
