MODinsane
I use MOD organizer. I use NMM, BOSS and Wrye Bash. I began using MOD Organizer because it forces necessary MOD's and the rest of Skyrim to work, but it is not recognizing the newest version of SKSE 1.6.13 and yes, I've got the latest Steam update 1.9.32 blah blah blah. What is wrong here and SKSE is installed properly. SKSE 1.6.13 is recognized on BOSS, what might be the problem with MO? Every other utility recognizes SKSE, but ingame I get the Error 1 message SKSE 0.00.0 etc etc. and therfore SkyIU doesnt work either.

(I don't use any mod manager to launch the game; I do however use NMM to install mods from the nexsus)Also, have you looked at the SKSE log files -- these will report errors, from launching skse, if any. Mojocrusher
Hey all, I had the same problem. I fixed it by running it as administrator. Just right click on shortcut and go to properties and then advanced, I believe, lol. and click the administrator button. I hope this helps. This happened after I updated SKSE, new launcher file, duh, have to give it admin rights. It took me awhile to figure out. lol
Burnout122812
Are you using a Steam bought copy of Skyrim or a pirated copy?
AbleGnome
So I just reformatted and I"m reinstalling. When I first installed Skyrim on 11-11-11 it installed on my hard drive first, before connecting to Steam. Now, however, it goes directly to Steam. The Skyrim Script Extender says to load the .pex files in Data/Scripts. There is no Scripts folder in Data on my hard drive. Can I not use any mods but Steam mods? Any help is appreciated. Many thanks.
AbleGnome
Are you using a Steam bought copy of Skyrim or a pirated copy? I have a retail copy I bought new. I insert the DVD to install and a Steam screen loads. If I install there I have no Data/Scripts folder to drop the SKSE PEX files and, of course, I have no launcher or anything in the main Skyrim Common/Skyrim folder. AbleGnome
So after Steam updated the install, I got a launch.exe. I still had no Data/Script or Data/Script/Source folders. I do have Data. So I created the Script and Source folders and dropped the SKSE files there, as well as in the main. So I have an skse launch, but it launches into a tiny window that I can't expand. Any ideas or help? Thanks. Maybe I need to launch the game for the first time? I'll try that.

kettlescobbly
I'm having a problem with the newest version of SKSE, worked fine up til this point. After i updated it, i tried to run it, the command box came up, was up for about a fraction of a second and closed without any text, and didnt boot up skyrim. I have no other SKSE files in the folders, tried unistalling it and reinstalling it, and tried running it without mods and as admin, but still no luck, anyone able to help?
