Custom class icons?

So I've been working on a mod to add a bunch of new playable classes to the game (so I can see the description and class icon in my character sheet), but I've run into a problem. For whatever reason, the game won't display my custom icons in the character sheet/stats menu, even though it works fine in the class selection menu at the start of the game. I've tried changing the paths to match the vanilla classes, tried copying and pasting and resizing the class icons to the menus50 and menus80 folders, made smaller versions and put them in the small_class folders, renamed them, everything. I've looked everywhere for a way to solve this but I can't find anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
