850plushours
I was real excited when I saw Midas Magic, so I immediately downloaded it. At first glance, it seemed to be running fine, until I got my first spell. Everytime I try to summon an Angel, my game crashes. I've tried running ONLY Midas Magic. I've also tried running the lowest graphic quality, but nothing seems to work. I pretty much downloaded the mod for the summons, so I'm hoping someone can help. I have Game of the Year Edition(all patches come with, right?) and I downloaded the lates Mida's and the latest patch for the mod.
850plushours
Could this simply be a system problem? I'm running off of a laptop right now, since my desktop won't play Oblivion.
bben46
Check to be sure you have the latest patch. The patch version shows up on the opening screen in the lower left corner of the screen.I think Midas requires OBSE also. If so, be sure you have OBSE and you have installed it properly - It is not a mod and does not install like a mod. Then be sure you start Oblivion using the OBSE launcher and not the Oblivion launcher. Or use the launcher that comes with OBMM which launches OBSE first if it is present. Move Midas down to the end or near the end of your load order to see if some other mod is interfering with it. There may be some other conditions for angel summoning, check the read me. Try some simpler Midas spells. I like the Midas Touch that allows you to turn a dead enemy to gold which then breaks down into a pile of coins.
