Do you think Moore doesnn't know about bias in the news?

You seem to think he is perfect or something... The only reason you are defending him is because you hate bush... and you know it... If this movie had been about Clinton's history you wouldn't be defending him...

You just didn't get my point. First of all you can stop typing those lines of periods. It cannot be doubted that Moore knows a lot about politics and current events and news. Don't you think he knows a lot about bias in the news?

It's based off of research and interviews with high-ranking government officials, using their words only.

And sometimes not using their words... cough Kennedy cough... excuse me...

I knew you were going to respond to this. Didn't you read Surian's post on page 7 at all? Just read it. Your whole point about this part is void.

I think the other points that I was going to make have already been said. Just make sure you actually read them this time.

I never said anything about lying... I said twisted facts, cut out scenes, ect. Those froms of media are misleading and dangerous.

You constantly refered to lying...reread your old posts.

If you read my past post you will also see that I said that to me, twisting facts IS lying. That is my point of view. Deal with it.

Ok,.... let's.... all.... take.... cheap... shots..... at....... how.... I.... type.......

Did you like that?

It cannot be doubted that Moore knows a lot about politics and current events and news.

So Moore isn't bias at all, huh... yeah, I believe that...

Don't you think he knows a lot about bias in the news?

How can you take a political movie seriously? HE WANTS TO MAKE MONEY. There is nothing else to it. Do you really believe everything you see in the movies and on tv... usually not. So why believe this movie? Yes, the movie has a lot of facts, that is true. But somethings were just twisted for his facts to look stronger or to make the upper class people look stupid. His movie has some good facts but you can't trust it all.

Guys, stop flaming, please.

I understand Moore is intending to defend himself against these criticisms. No doubt it is a big media party but why not cool it until we find out what he has to say?

You have not seen the movie. Give specific examples of twisted facts. I'm not saying there aren't any, I'm saying that I don't know of any. Keep in mind, the whole Kennedy thing is void.

HE WANTS TO MAKE MONEY. There is nothing else to it.

I strongly disagree. Of course he wants to make money. Every director of any movie wants to make money, but that's not his main goal. Do you not think that he cares deeply about the subject? He is a director by profession, and he does what are called social commentaries. He has done many movies on social injustice. That's all he does. And let me tell you, Bowling for Columbine as well as his movie about the Chrysler company were not exactly box-office hits. They were popular and debated and talked about, but they didn't exactly pump out the money. You cannot tell me that this movie was only to make money and he doesn't feel passionate on this subject when he has made so many movies about this kind of thing.

Lets think this through.....

I never said anything about lying... I said twisted facts, cut out scenes, ect.

twisting facts IS lying

Is it just me or do those two statements contrdict themselves?

Deal with it.

At least you don't come off arrogant ;).

-If he wanted to do a movie about facts, he wouldn't have put it out in mainstream movie theaters. If it was for facts it would have been on the discovery channel or something. But no, he makes more money by using public hate towards bush and helps it to fund himself by making people pay 7 doallars a ticket.

-I know you Eiade. You haven't seen Bowling for Columbine or any other Moore film for the matter. You keep telling off me, yet you do it yourself....

-Niether Bowling for Columbine or any other Moore film was showed in mainstream movie theaters.

-Social commentaries are still not full facts. They are his opinion, though based off facts

Look, all i'm saying is don't trust the whole movie. I never denied facts in the movie. Yes, bush is an a$$hole. I agree completely. But Moore didn't make a perfect movie.

It isn't 100% fact. Try and tell me otherwise...

Nothing is ever %100.

This might be the first thing we agree on ;). I acknowledge his movie isn't perfect, nothing can ever be perfect.

A little off topic perhaps but there is a surreal quality of all these Iraq threads being discussed on the Morrowind forums. The game of Morrowind is about uniting indigenous tribes and peoples to throw out an invading force. Presumably most players are happy to take on the role of Nerevarine and set the stage for this. The parallels in Iraq and Afghanistan are not hard to find.
