hidconsp
Hey, nexus.I'm working on a mod that modifies artifacts' enchantment to be distinct and not replaceable by enchanting..But I've run out of idea how to change DB armors. The gloves (x2 sneak damage) is good. Awesome enchantment. But how should I make the other enchantments to be really like "assassin"?
glad0s98
i think the armor has stupid enchantment: poison resistance. change it to sneak increase 25%
hidconsp
Thanks for replying.I agree with your first sentence: that the enchantment is dull and stupid. But what I'm trying to do is to make it really special, not like sneak+25% For example,I made thieves guild boots to increase your speed when you are in combat, but NOT fighting.Basically it helps you run away, like thieves.Or I made Nightingale Gloves to have chances of stealing nearby enemies' weapons. What kind of effect would make you feel like true assassin then? Edited February 13, 2013 by hidconsp

fortie
Gloves could have chance of disarm and then kill move. No matter what their health is
hidconsp
Hmm.. I should study how to activate kill moves, but maybe I can make it to trigger "assassination" at certain conditions..Thanks fortie
fortie
And asking as you only change enchantments and such not the textures or anything it would make it compatible with armour retextures also which would really make it bad ass ha. It would be cool to have assassinations on full health enemies on the odd occasion. Make it a bit more realistic.
hidconsp
Yeah my mod doesn't change texture or mash.I'll try assassination then.
fortie
A sturdy outfit made of leather and lightweight metal, built for Assassins who need to move swiftly and silently. This armor makes no noise, no matter the Assassin's speed or bearing.Incorporate silent moment always into the boots. Not a muffle effect but like the perks that are silent when running and what not. Like muffled movement but instead of noise being only halved make it 100%Light footSilenceIncreased movement speed would also be a good assassin/their bonusAdd something like the poisoned perk to harm them by placing poison in their pocketBribery perk to bribe guards only when wearing the armour though for all these perks Edited February 13, 2013 by fortie
Amaxi
I have a few ideas. 1. detect life, this effect would fit well on one of the pieces. It could be a permanent version of the "aura whisper" dragon shout effect, or just detect life spell. The detect life spell detect only living and not deadra, undead or dwarven robots so it would fit better with lore i guess. 2. Similar to the "amulet of articualtion" that you get for restoring the theif guild to former glory, which makes persuation attempts almost always work. I was thinking a DB piece could have the effect of making the "intimidate" dialogue option almost always work. 3. The pickpocket tree have a perk which allows you to put a poison in someones pocket, which will result in them drinking it and dying (i think?) in any case, i think an effect on a DB piece that would allow this to always/almost always work without your character being detected (regardless of sneak/ pickpocket skill) would be a cool idea. 4. Enhancing poisons other than "fortify alchemy" would be cool. I was thinking in the lines of letting fear poisons affect higher level targets, paralazis/ slow lasts a bit longer, damaging poisons do more damage etc etc. You get the idea, im not sure if this might be hard to do, since i can't recall there being any "fortify poison" effects in the game. But anyway i like this idea so i hope it might be possible should you like the idea aswell. Another idea is to let poisons have more charges, there is one perk in the elchemy tree which gives your poisons two charges instead of one, so something like that. Could get very overpowered with to many charges on things like paralyze poisons and such. But you could for example let poisons that do pure damage only have unlimited charges/ x amount of charges. 5. A piece could give you a completely new spell, there is a ring in the dragonborn dlc which gives you 2 new spells, so as for coding you could probably just use that. As for the spell itself, i was thinking something along the lines of some sort of mind control, maby similar to the "bend will shout" which would force an enemy to fight for you for x seconds. Would fit best in the Illusion school obviously. Or you could make up a completely new spell ofc, which would probably be cooler. What exactly that might be i don't know, don't have any good ideas atm. 6. Shadow blade/ shadow arrow effect. While wearing (insert DB armor piece) your attacks with melee weapons and bows ignore X amout of opponents armor. The idea would be much cooler with some sort of "shadowy" grapical effect. 7. Faster movement, longer jump distance and faster attack speeds with weapons are always nice (and not available in the standard game) 8. The "quiet casting" perk from the illusion tree is very nice to have for any sort of sneaky character. It makes all your spells and dragon shouts silent to others. This effect would be great as an enchantment imo. 9. In vanilla skyrim it is only silent to swing a dagger, ei; if you kill someone with a dagger, no enemies around will hear anything. If you swing anything heavier however, enemies closeby will hear it and look for you. And i know alot of people prefer swords over daggers. so i was thinking of an enchant which would allow heavier weapons to be silent, if it should be just be one-handed weapons or even two-handed i will leave for you to decide. hmm think that's all i've got for now, hope you like any of the ideas. And i look forward to se the finished mod in any case :) Edited February 21, 2013 by Amaxi
