thebigba
I was under the impression, when i added companion mods, that they would level when I do. I have two companions now, Raewyn and Eluna, I finally leveld to 2 with my new character and they are both still at lvl 1. Can someone tell me why they didnt level, how to get them to level? is this a bug, is there a fix? I really want my girls to keep up with me :-). Thanks in advance. Thanks in advance.Companions only level with you, if those companions are specifically designed to level with you. Some do this with the respawn flag, and auto-leveling, which can take some time before you see any significant effect, and some do the leveling through scripts. It's really all about how those particular companions are setup.
thebigba
Well, i noticed as I started over again just to be sure that they dont level with me when I level from 1-2. yet I can use the console command to advance my lvl up 1 and their lvl goes up also. I will start another new game on a different save and advance my level by console from one to 2 and see if they change then. If not Then I will be lead to believe that they only start leveling with me once i am one level above them. I'll keep it updated... in the meantime anyone with this knowledge of these specific companions is more than welcome to explain :-)
dezdimona
Most companions are designed to remain 1or 2 levels beneath your character. The will level, just a bit more slowly is all.
thebigba
You are absolutely right dez, After starting a new game and advlevel in console from level 1 to 2, I noticed that the level didnt go up so then went to my other save abd leveled my lvl 2 through fighting to level 3 and both companions are now level 2, so they do stay one level behind me :-) Thanks for the replies. I am having issues getting Raewyn to come to me. I really do not like the partner ring idea where as it doesnt allow raewyn to be summoned to me from anywhere at anytime. I been trying to alter the ring in to a Raewyn.moveto player script but so far the only thing I summon when I equipt the ring is a CTD(Crash to desktop). Care to talk more about this? :-)
thebigba
perhaps I am going about this a different way then I should. I wonder If I take the cmpartnership token script , add it to a buyable spell, If then i will be able to issue commands no matter how far raewyn is away from me. If I can do that and it works well then I can tell her to follow me then use the ring that only calls her when she isnt on standby or stand guard or stay here. This process seems so much more complicated though then the simple create summon idea... but im failing in that for reasons unknown to me. Time for caffeine and aggravation.... failure and eventual success. well so far so good, I created a spell that summons the party menu to follow, heal, stay, loot whatever... now i need to figure out to go about making it do something. How to link it to raewyn... That is the question.
