Redindus69
After playing the game time to time, it starting to feel like arcade or simple gameplay. Would like to know if there are any mods out there will add some really good realism to Skyrim. I have Dawnguard and Dragonborn, didnt care for Dragonborn much though. What i would like to see is...1)Lightning Effects: since it still too much lights at Night and i dont see no moon overheard. Even in dungeons, most should been pitch black so players either use spells or torchs.2)All items have weight, regardless what they are. Cant carry all the golds you want or even arrows.3)Your character should get hungry and need rest everyday, otherwise you will start feeling weak.4)Need more Wildlife and better AIs.5)Eating and Sleeping animations would be nice.6)Swimming in the water is too fast, way too fast.7)Final part is the npcs and some creatures shouldnt be out on night walking around, either find a room or setup a campsite. Also noticed that if you reduce the lights so it would be darker, either in dungeon or outside, if you cant see them, but they can see you. Well that also need to be fixed too. I remember downloaded a realistic lightning effects to make night darker and they can see you before you noticed anything, unless the creatures have night eyes. Now i am not sure all this options i mention above can be found. Most on Steam mods are crap! I am hardcore player and i would like to roleplay my character to realistic as possible. Even on Expert Difficulty Gameplay, i only play with one life to survive with. Can anyone help?
Deleted1308005User
"Can anyone help?"Easily!Lighting effects:Climates of tamrielhttp://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/17802Realistic lighting overhaulhttp://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/30450Frostfallhttp://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/11163Realistic needs and diseaseshttp://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/26228Wet and coldhttp://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/27563With these we have half of your requests covered.Lighting, realistic needs, better weather, (Climates of tamriels also makes dungeons darker, and pitch black if you want), Eating animations come from RND, Swimming in water is not slowed down, but frostfall makes frigid waters kill you, Well, only things left out are ai changes.Skytest makes animals better and offer quite alot new (pups and such), but I don't know how stable it's nowadays.http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/10175
Redindus69
Thanks Shadowjin, i been browsing the mods and not easy to find all of them since there are so many useless ones. Even some doesnt work or incompatible. Still need to figured out how to have realistic Vampire mod as well. Cant be out in daylight without burning to ashes, instead should have Oblivion effects than Skyrim's penalities. Heh also noticed you like being a Necromancer, that my kinda thing too. I made a mod called "Vampire's Servant" that allow players to summon their pets that will last lot longer than crappy sixty seconds. At stage four it will last for fourteen days and also reduce the timeframe to 3, so it wont timing too fast from day and night. Making total realism mod is no easy tasks though. Also forgot to mention that when Skyrim first came out, i manage to remove the compass, didnt like that idea and also dont use the ingame map either. Having to draw a map on a piece of paper and marks areas where i have traveled. Edited February 14, 2013 by Redindus69
Deleted1308005User
Aye, I removed compass myself as well, but it wasn't too good idea.As the map doesn't have any sort of compass function, it's pure pain to "go southwest from here, across the river"Like, I am not native speaker of english, I always have problems on figuring out which is which.North - East - South - West..If map would have compass function on it, it'd be perfect. Also, the mods I showed should be perfectly compatible with each other.I used them all for a moment myself, but 75% of the playing time went on surviving so I had to disable RND and frostfall. (Frostfall alone was really good. I just had to keep common sense along when I traveled around)But RND made it ridiculous combination. As for the necromancy part, I am using SkyRe (works with frostfall as well, and is in fact integrated really well  )SkyRe adds some things I was expecting from necromancy:> Permanent skeletons that can be crafted with bones> Bones can be harvested from dead NPC's> Different reanimation spells. > Frenzied > Brutal > Forced aka. weakAnd such. Redindus69
I did download most necromancer mods, most of them wasnt what i was looking for. The one with collect bonemeals and gears wasnt so bad, but collecting ten bonemeals was pain to find. After the skeletons get slained, leave nothing on the ground, just poofed lol. So better off with summoning spells, staves, etcs. On the compass part is tricky, i can navigate myself pretty good without the compass. So that why i got a piece of paper to draw places and roads to help, if you have skills in drawing. You can try practice drawing the map and navigate around to understand the areas, once you do number of times you would memorize that locations pretty well. Since Skyrim isnt that big at all. The tough parts if it is totally pitch black out there at night and you cannot see far, not a good idea to try unless you have night vision. When i roleplay my character, usually evil anyway and either vampire/necromancer, i dont do quests unless it has roleplaying purposes for the character i am playing. So that why i took the compass off, showing me the way where the quest is. As for the mods you mention, you mean you have all lightning mods working at once? And i need to take a look at SkyRe mod too. Edited February 14, 2013 by Redindus69
Deleted1308005User
CoT had minor issues with Realistic lighting.I think there is compatibility notes at RL page, I didn't bother to check them though.CoT is really nice on it's own after all.SkyRe, Aka. Skyrim Redone (Search with T3nd0 and you find it easily)Is quite large overhaul, but it's separated in couple of modules so you could just pick the ones you like.
