Model Modification

Hello all, at risk of starting another "Where do I start?" thread, I've done a ton of research and have a couple specific questions.

 

I'm considering having a pro re-work a PC character and I'd need to provide the 3d model to them for them to start.

 

I think the workflow goes like this:

 

  • Use Kotor Tool to identify character models and export from game
  • Use MDLops to convert models
  • Use KotorMax tool to import to 3DS max <<<at this point I think I can send off to professional for editing
  • 3DS max files returned to me with the modifications

 

If this is correct, how do I get these models back into Kotor? Do they become files I can place in override or is there more to it?

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will make files available to all once done. If there is a modding pro willing to connect with me to get this done, that would be great.
