Chivalry: Medieval Warfare combat style possible?

So having reinstalled Skyrim for the third time I got to wondering if this was a possibility given the game engine. I'm no modder though I am good at turning my hand to and quickly learning things, and given the
fact that it would likely be possible to use existing animations, it doesn't strike me as being totally out of reach. This is really just about speculation.

I've enjoyed Chivalry's combat a lot. Even with the dance of death and deadlier combat; even with deadly dragons and monsters, and set to expert/master; even using SPERG (lol) or harder sneaking mods, I still find the combat in Skyrim a bit poor. Chivalry's combat is on the face of it more complex, but far more accessible and easily learned. I've used all kinds of mods and combinations thereof, and the only time I really feel like the combat in Skyrim is of any worth is when Frostbite has me weakened and I've three or more enemies laying into me at higher difficulties and DD settings, etc. Even with mods, it's primitive and facile and often tedious.

So what I want to explore is the possibility of assigning directional attacks to mouse keys as in C:MW - mousewheel up for a thrust, mwdown for an overhead, LMB for a slash right to left and preloading one from left to right. A short term timed parry/block rather than an infinitely held button, a feint function to counteract parries, all that business. There are already dodge mods and DW block/parry mods which add a layer of depth to the gameplay but not really enough to change it from slash/block spam. Though it does suggest that some of C:MW's features like dodging and smarter blocking/parrying would be implementable. It would obviously also mean that the AI would have to be able to implement the same behaviours to react realistically, and certain skill trees or unlockable abilities redesigned. And presumably mean that the number of enemy NPCs was reduced so that the player stood a solid chance in some dungeons, or lowering difficulty (in Chivalry it is possible though difficult to take on multiple enemies, and pulling it off feels mega rewarding).

But before I start to look into it I'd like some input from those who are more familiar with the CK and the limitations of the engine to weigh in and say whether or not this is even viable. This might just be some dumb pipe dream.

Excuse the formatting, it got all wankered when I pasted it from the thread I made in the discussion forum.

It's possible and Chivalrys combat system is heavily based on Mount and blade. The problem is the amount of scripting that would have to be done for this to work right and I am not sure Papyrus could process it fast enough since it would have to be directional and also compute where weapons are. So possible for the player but for npcs I doubt it.
