Cannot enter caves

<p>I'm having an issue with Skyrim where I can't enter (or exit) 'caves'. By caves, I mean the entrances to caves and dungeons where you just walk forward and it says "To XYZ" and then you enter the dungeon. I don't get a prompt to go to a new area and just run into an invisible wall. I use BOSS to set my load order, then tweak it a bit myself. My current load order is:</p>

<div>A lot of mods, I know! Believe it or not I recently cut down on my mod usage and removed about 40 mods from my game. It's made my experience quite a bit more stable, but not perfect. If there's anything I can move around to fix conflicts, please let me know!</div>

<div>My main issue though is the cave bug. Not being able to enter into caves is a real bummer! Any help would be greatly appreciated! This also happens on new characters and old ones.</div>

<div>EDIT: I've done a complete reinstall of Skyrim and the caves work in Vanilla mode. The issue still stands though, since I can't figure out which mod is causing my issue!</div>

Spike? Really!?!? Anyway, perhaps the bug is caused by one of the mods you deactivated? One way i can't enter a cave is if i disabled the entrance from console, now if a mod affects that, it would be unpleasant.

SPIKE is for Immersive Armors. I deactivated those mods after this started occurring, so I don't think it's related to that. Is there a way I can enable the cave entrance through the console? Edited February 16, 2013 by coldfire17

I tried few months back, didn't work for me. Try clicking the gateway from console, once you get the id, type

Enable

 

You can try deactivating all the mods, though you be better off reinstalling Skyrim. :/

The console doesn't register that there's an entrance there and it just enable/disables the rocks around it. I've also tried verifying the game on Steam and it does nothing. I've tried making a new character and cave entrances won't register.

Post your BOSS log (with the messages), include the list of plugins not recognized by BOSS, enclose both in spoiler tags.

Had the same problem and could not find much concerning this here and in other communities :pinch:

I tested it myself and for me it was the "Explorers Hideaway" player home, which caused the problem.

Unfortunately i dont see it in your load order :sad: but in another community i read someone had the problem with "Travel Boats" too, which you got installed. hope this helps :cool:
