Thirsk Mead Hall

Hi everyone. When I was playing Dragonborn the other day I killed the Nords and the Riekling chief. After just looking at the USEP Wiki though, I see that we can retake Thirsk hall for the Nords, and I'm wondering if it's possible at this point to trigger that quest, or am I stuck with my Riekling guys? :)

Thanks so much,
Tracy

Sounds like it's a "Days passed" event, similar ot the bandit holdout in Skyrim. If you retake a certain fort, Soldiers will take over it. There is no quest, it just happens. Eventually the bandits will take it back again. Does the Wiki specifically say it's a quest? With Quest Stages?

Hi you guys. Thanks for the ideas. I tried to let alot of time pass to see if that changed anything, but unfortunately it didn't. Also I went to Bujold's Retreat to see if I might be able to resurrect the dead Nords, but their bodies were gone. :( I've been avoiding going back to an earlier save from before I agreed to help the Rieklings, but when I thnk of losing all of the progress I've made and having to redo all of that stuff, I'm not sure I want to go there. BUT, I'm wondering at this point if that might be my only option. I wish I'd known about the choice between helpilng the Rieklings and retaking the mead hall for the Nords, before I began. I think I just assumed helping those little guys was the only option for that quest, so I went for it. SIGH

Oh and btw, I think both the retaking and the quest to help the rieklings DO have quest ids. Now that I mention that, I wonder if it's possible to bring the dead Nords to me by using their ids? Not sure if that's even possible, but it's another idea to toss out there. :)

Anyway, thanks again so much for your help. Maybe I'll be able to redo this whole thing, but if not, I guess I've learned my lesson about going too fast and jumping into quests! :(

I helped the riekling tribe and not the Nords. I have a riekling follower now and he is great! A trustful and hearty fighter who can carry some loads for me too.

And every now and then when we are in a battle, a delegation of the thirsk riekling tribe comes to assist us. They are worth a mint, the little ones. :D

Thanks for your help and ideas you guys. The truth is, the little guys freak me out for some reason and I'm a litle scared of therm (yes I know, I'm a wuss! LOL) so that's the main reason I'd rather have my Thirsk full of Nords, even though there ARE plenty of them in Skyrim and Solsteim, including my character. LOL

Going to try to revive them but if not, going to let it go. Maybe one night I'll get insomnia and have enough energy to start over from right before the Thirsk Mead Hall part----with me you never know! LOL

Take care and thanks again,
Tracy
