Hunting Rifle Bug

The hunting rifle in my game fires as if it were semi-automatic instead of bolt action. That is, I can fire as fast as I click the trigger, without waiting to rechamber a new round. I searched through FNVEdit and removed all non-vanilla changes to the hunting rifle to no avail. Creating a new plugin to modify the delay or rate of fire has no effect. This leads me to think that it is affected by scripts from another mod.

 

If someone has any idea where I should look or if this issue has been seen elsewhere, I could use a point in the right direction. Thanks

How many rounds does it fire before a reload? This definitely sounds like the flag has been changed by a mod, but also you might want to check if a mod has changed the actual animation file for the gun.

It does have something to do with the weapon attack animation. Changing it to any other animation allows the weapon to act normally. It could have something to do with the modded nif not matching the attack animation, or that the animation itself is messed up. For now I'm just changing it to the varmint rifle animation and slowing it down a tad to keep balance. Thanks for the suggestions.

have you tried modding the weapon? As in attachments? If it comes back to normal with mods you've got the wrong nif as you suggested. If you're using WMX and others mods try reinstalling the WMX animations over the top, you may have overridden it if you are running a few different heavy mods like WMX, PN, FOOK etc.

 

Have you also looked up the hunting rifle in FNVedit yet?
