Fixxer99
Hi, im still confused about whats causing this issue i have where it seems Skyrim is loading tree and ground textures very close by. The trees suddenly change from thin scrapy ones into fine trextures and very detailed, and very sudden too..What ini-setting am i missing here? This also applies for ground-textures, they show up very close by.. I have a allround rig with an i7, 8gb of memory, GTX580 SOC, 120GB SSD and Win8. Also, i noticed that my pc seems to be working alot when loading new areas. I had no such issue on Windows 7. Im all out of speech now, so if anyone have experienced theese issues before,? Belial666
What setting did you use, what tweaks did you do to INIs,and what mods are you using? Are you using the latest beta drivers?
korun
it's a L oad O n D istance problem, as Belial666 says, do you have made any ini tweaks or do you use any landscape mod ?
Fixxer99
Ive resetted my ini a few times now and it still happens. I now use the 4K Tree Lod from AOF, Realistic LOD Tree Textures and Trees HD Skyrim Variaton mods.. I havent tested them yet but i will deactivate all my lod changing mods and reply the findings. If not, what can it be then?
korun
I didn't ever have your problem, but here are all line regarding trees in my ini"s [Trees]bRenderSkinnedTrees=1uiMaxSkinnedTreesToRender=80»»»up from 30[TerrainManager]fTreeLoadDistance=25000.0000 then i've checked in my game, in fact the trees became nicer, when i'm close (see pic), plus i've ride my horse all around Falkreath, whiterun etc..and sometimes (Flat landscape) it's like the GC is drawing just few meters far, i'm uGrid 7 but i have a lower setup than you and i'm using SFO summer edit 1.77 so i believe it's good sorry if it didn"t help to much@@
Belial666
Maybe your card is pushed too hard if you're using a bit of super high res textures.Did this happen on skyrim with no mods at all?Have you checked videocard settings? Here's mine on the GTX650 .I also use ultra settings in Skyrim, but drop AA to 4x,and AF to 2x. Fixxer99
Ill check that too. Anyways, i did turn ON Object Fade in the game settigs.. maybe this was causing it?Since its turned off by default i mean?=
Belial666
That can do it,but only on objects, shouldn't affect textures on ground.
Fixxer99
I will try the game without object detail fade, and have my ini deleted before that. Also deleted the /textures/terrain folder.
Fixxer99
What option in the ini file is the one responsible for tree and ground texture-loading? Cause im still hassling with the trees changing textures close to me, but i guess its normal?
