GenesisCorrupted
So I have been able to make the game feel way better with mods. One thing that always felt super un-immersive. Was when a rad storm would happen. I would run around in a panic trying desperately to get to shelter. Meanwhile all of my settlers donât give a crap. They are all blasae and picking mut fruit. The idea would be to have settlers attempt to take shelter from the storm. Having shelters actually protect us from rad damage based off of the materials used to build them. And having the settlers suffer if they donât have shelter from the storm. This would I believe get rid of one of the biggest flaws in gameplay. Desperately trying to survive should be me and the settlers struggle not just mine. Edited October 3, 2020 by GenesisCorrupted
GenesisCorrupted
I am not able to do this myself. I just know there are incredibly talented people here that would be able to. This is something I think all of us would like to see improved in this game, whether we realize it or not. GenesisCorrupted
This would not be a perfect solution. But the animation for when a raider panics and tries to run away from you and hide in a building. That could probably be repurposed pretty easily to the settlers AI. They would panic runaway hide in the building. Then the complicated part would be having them not be just hiding in fear in the house the entire time. It be kind of cool if once they got in the shelter. Knew they need to stay in there until the storm passed and they could just kind of mess around in their house. Then leave after. But thatâs getting too complicated. Iâd totally be satisfied with them hiding in houses during storms.
Blinxys
There's a mod like that for skyrim, at least they put on hoods and poncho's and stuff.Gasmasks and hoods would be a step in the right direction.Closest thing is this:Fallout 2287But that goes too far in a different direction, and may have save issues late game by my understanding.
