AlduinWorldEater
Basically, I'm looking for a way to increase my game performance without sacrificing too much in terms of visuals. Right now, I have a big lag problem that I believe may be due to the bloom shader, which I have no idea how to disable. I tried turning off distant land, trees, and grass, and it had basically no impact on my performance at all. I'm pretty sure it's lighting-related. I'd appreciate if someone could point me to a mod (or set of mods) that would do something about it. Thanks! EDIT: If it helps any, here are my stats for my computer: Windows 8 Processor: Intel Pentium CPU B980 @ 2.40 GHzInstalled RAM: 4.00 GB (3.89 GB usable)System Type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor And here's the performance score: Processor: 6.3Memory (RAM): 5.9Graphics: 4.3Gaming Graphics: 5.5Primary Hard Disk: 5.9 I'm gonna play with the system itself a little and see what I can get for performance out of it (I know what I'm doing, don't worry) Edited February 16, 2013 by AlduinWorldEater
AlduinWorldEater
Not trying to self-bump here, just a quick update - it is DEFINITELY lighting-related. I found the "real lights in Dragonsreach" mod, and it made a huge difference. So, I need something that deletes artificial light sources (I think that's what it does, anyways). And if anyone knows any .ini tweaks I can make, it'd be appreciated.
Adder1
If pure FPS is what you're looking for in terms of lighting, this is what you're looking for. However, if you're looking for a mod that doesn't really impact performance but changes light sources to be more, well, realistic. Try this and/or this. Something to keep in mind- I'm running Intel HD Graphics. Not 3000, not 4000, not even 2500 or whatever that one is. Just... HD Graphics. RLO does have a bit of a combat stuttering issue with my laptop, but ELnFX pretty much causes no hit for me. Or, if it does, it's unnoticeable when working with HiAlgoBoost. AlduinWorldEater
I'll D/L it and let you know how it goes. I did try some "realistic lighting" mods...made virtually no difference. So, let's see how this one works out!
AlduinWorldEater
Okay, that provided a HUGE boost inside! Outside though, I still lag a bit during the daytime. Not nearly as much as I had been, but it's still there, and I still have a hiccup or two.

Halliphax2
I highly recommend ATTK (posted above me) I use the "lite" version myself and oh my....What a difference.
AlduinWorldEater
I'll give it a run, thanks! :)
AlduinWorldEater
ATTK only made a slight difference. Maybe I'm configuring it wrong? I took one look at the UI and got dizzy, so maybe that's all it was. Still, it was a difference, and it was enough to be noticed, so it is definitely appreciated. Jason2112
Don't be scared to open the UI up it's totally safe.
