However, Monkeys are apparently a huge challenge to model and animate realistically, so apes will have to do. What type of apes? NO! NO! NOT THAT! Anyway, here's my suggestion: Have a small ape camp in one of those "quieter" parts of the Wasteland, and they'd have some mute Human slaves. There'd be a Ghoul camp nearby, and the Apes would believe them to be "Mutants" in possession of a Human "Doomsday Bomb" and want them destroyed.
