mil3nko666
I am trying to make a healer NPC That Heals His Nearby Allies. i have created a New npc And under the Spell List Tab I have added Grand Healing And Call To Arms, and for perks i added Expert Restoration , and expert illusion (Don't know if they Were necessary) but in the game they only use healing when they are low health they do not cast it on other npc's when their health is low, and i have never seen them use the call to arms spell at all. i have googled this and only thing i came across was this http://j-u-i-c-e.hubpages.com/hub/Hot-to-Turn-Your-Skyrim-Character-into-a-Follower under 12 adding spells and Perks 3rd paragraph says healing npc's through scripting, i havent done any scripting at all so i dont know if this is what needs to be done? anyway also it says in the same paragraph that illusion spells cant be used by npc's which would be why call to arms doesnt work but i added invisibility which is under illusion and that worked so maybe that isn't 100% accurate can someone please help me with this
Deleted1308005User
It's purely about the spelltype, how the spell works, etc.For example, invisibility is cast on self and it's "profitable" spell, NPC can handle it.Same for mage armors, cloaks. However, mass area spells are something Ai can't use (unless scripted).Did you try giving that NPC healing hands and set his/her combat data so that he helps allies? As there is couple of healer follower mods that don't use scripting and still work.http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/18075And search with "healer" for more."anyway also it says in the same paragraph that illusion spells cant be used by npc's"Mmm..Might be.I've never tried giving the basic illusion spells, fear, calm etc. for NPCs.Good thing about NPC's is that they can magically sense if enemy is resistant/immune to certain spell type, and they won't use it.(Paralyze, different elements and so)NPC's can handle paralyze quite well, (I used Erso's mighty dragons for some time, it added paralyze spell to certain dragon type)So, your best catch is to use the "simple" spells. Those that target one ally.Mass beneficial spells are just something NPC can't handle.(except! Colette seems to use those fancy ring spells from time to time. )
