FutureVisions Posted December 27, 2008 Share Posted December 27, 2008 Hey ppl. Im having this really wierd problem with the protectrons. Both in geck and in-game. Although it first appeared on both "modes" at the same time, after i tried to reinstall the game (i even reinstalled it 2x...yes -.-), and the problem seemed to be fixed, it happened again "out of the blue", one moment wasn't there, the next started appearing in-game (not in GECK straight ahead) and then after a couple of more saves in the GECK, it appeared there aswell. The problem seems to be something wrong with the fallout3.esm, since i havent messed with any protectron mesh or texture, and havent installed any new mod recently, also the problem is still present, both in-game and in the GECK even if the fallout3.esm is the only file loaded.This doesnt seem to be a "normal" missing mesh since in those cases im used to see the "big (!) mark". In this case, the skeleton of the protectron just went missing. To be more precise, 2 of the skeletons went missing, being them, the basic black protectron skeleton (protectronbos.nif) and another one the protectronPC.nif (not sure wich skeleton this correspods to). Apparently only these 2 were affected (so far) and all the other render both in-game and in the geck. (About picture 2) The error says something about "files have been removed" well im am almost sure i havent messed with any meshes whatsoever (especially after having resintalled the game, and though the problem was fixed) so i have no idea what could have moved or removed these files. (About picture 4) I've seen meshes render like that when i tried to load and save a door mesh in nifskope and save it. I think fallout has problems with reading nif files saved in nifskope for some reason. But in this case i havent touched any meshes. I tried to fix this by reinstalling the game like i said (this worked...partially) and also by unpacking the mesh from the master file and adding it to archive invalidation (wich didnt do anything). At first i ruled out any mods as being the cause to this for the reasons i meantioned before but atm i have no idea what's causing this.I dont know if any1 has seen this before, or have any idea of what might be causing it.
