Isolder
Nexus Mod Manager and apps that let you just drop the mod in and install it are great. That's not what I'm talking about. It kind of is, but not. I read it all the time, a modder mixes this clothing piece with this hair piece or this armor with this weapon from different mods. This kind of stuff requires unpacking files and repacking files and is just a real hassle. Why has no one just come up with a handy tool that aggregates all these files (so long as you've got the mod downloaded) and allows you to visually combine them. A tool that actually *explains* what can work with what. It would be so amazing if you could just load up X NPC or your player character in a model viewer and say I want to apply this clothing with this clothing and voila. It pulled every piece of clothing from every mod you had installed. No more concerns about unpacking and repacking files, it did all that in background. Why is this unpacking/repacking crap still a thing? If I was a programmer I'd do it myself, but alas, I am not. I'm just not sure why you guys haven't done it yet. Which makes me think, Why not simply loading items in CK?it is possible, simple, and available right now.> Load .esp's that contain armors and hairs you want> Load the .npc you want to wear them> Make custom "Outfit"> Throw the armors into this new outfit> View> Drink mead> Enjoy.
