ERASERhead1
Is it possible? I remmeber seeing some videos way back where people were trying to develop a mod for this. Anyway, after beating Dead Space 3 with a buddy of mine it got me thinking how cool it would be to play co-op for Fallout 3. Any thoughts?
McclaudEagle
It IS possible, but so incredibly difficult that few online projects ever get completed. Those that do end up being released often aren't complete and have a lot of problems attached. Chances are, it's unlikely to happen.

bben46
That is a 'proof of concept' mod, and was never intended to actually be playable. He did prove something like co-op was kinda sorta possible. But it's a really poor implementation using the single person Gambryo engine. The engine was designed for single person and is just not suited for anything else. It's also showing it's age for single person. It is a updated & patched version of the 1997 NetImmerse engine - that makes the base engine over 15 years old - ancient by computer game standards.
