itsJasonHD
Alright, so i've modded before in oblivion and wanted to take a crack shot at it in skyrim since there are several things i would like to change, one being the items in most of the houses. I've got all the DLC and even though the Hearthfire houses have all the required things i want i get tired of dealing with bandits kidnapping my wife ect. So i wanted to add those items to the other houses that do have protection due to being within the cities walls. Now, here's the issue i'm facing. Markath seems to be the house i like the most other then proudspire manner, and since i use a kids room that takes the alchemist or enchanting tables out. I'm attempting to add the following items to the houses (mind you which i can do succesfully). 1x Workbench.1x Enchanting Table.1x Alchemy Table.1x Anvil.1x Grind Stone. Now as i said i can add items without any problems, my issue is removing items for instance; Take the enchanting room in markarth, against the wall on the other side of the room (opposite the table) there's a crates and stuff. Well each time i do either of the following options and save the esp file the load the game, their all still in game yet their deleted in the creation kit. 1. I've tried right clicking the items and chosing the cut option.2. I've tried clicking on the items in the cell view and deleting them.3. I've tried moving them to the blank cell space outside of the house.4. I've tried moving them to the blank cell space below the house.5. I've tried right clicking the items and disabling them. None of the above options have worked for me which is why i'm here. Could anyone tell me how to permentantly delete the items from the house without deleting them from the base game (because that would cause issues and ctd's). Any and all help is appreciated. TL;DR After i've delete the items in the creation kit their still showing up ingame. Edited February 18, 2013 by itsJasonHD
IsharaMeradin
If you are testing your cell changes on a house that you've already seen in game, your save game is trying to preserve what it knows rather than go with the changes you made. You need to try this console command prior to entering the house: resetinterior <locationid> Otherwise, get your game to the point where the house has been bought and upgraded but not visited and then check on the changes. Ghaunadaur
Also, if the objects you want to get rid off have an enable parent assigned to them (which is usually an xmarker), place another xmarker into the cell and set it to 'initially disabled'. Then re-assign the enable parent of these objects to the new xmarker. Alternatively, you can choose the 'PlayerRef' as enable parent and hit the 'set enable state to opposite of parent' checkbox.
