XavierDarkhand
Forgive me if this topic isn't appropriate here, but I have looked and looked from google, youtube, nexus, and I just can't find a mod similar to Sounds of Skyrim. I know that the author removed it due to it causing serious savegame bloat (maybe other problems?), but......after hearing a youtube vid of it, I sorely wish to have something like that in my game. Any possibility there's a mod I can download to dramatically change the ambient sound of the game?
Miles Tails Prower
Until people figure out what is causing Save game bloating, I doubt ambient sounds will be added so much. It would be nice, though. The ambient sounds in Morrowind were breathtaking.
Deleted1308005User
*ahem*AFAIK, city version was the only one that caused bloating. However, it was a really nice mod, I hope it comes back at some point. It made me always nervous inside dungeons, dwemer ruins felt "alive" due to distant sounds and so on. Edit:Checked the FB page, it looks like it's not too far away from now.Seriously, sounds like it's gonna be quite nice overhaul once they add the ambient sounds to it. XavierDarkhand
Totally awesome! I went and checked out the mod suggested, and indeed he's got comments locked down while V3 is being worked on. Regarding ambient sounds in particular, this is what he said: Ambient Sounds-----------------------I, along with many otherCoT users have been saddened by the inability to enjoy Climates ofTamriel with Sounds Of Skyrim. The addition of a plethora of climaterelated sounds introduced by SoS was a really nice addition to Skyrim'saudio and complimented CoT's idealology. I did have conversations withSoS author 'Cliffworms' way back in June 2012 regarding compatibilityissues between both mods and we set out a plan to make both worktogether. As many are aware, SoS hit some snags, and for reasonsunbeknown to me, that mod was removed and to my knowledge, has remainedso ever since. So, I shall be intergrating an extensive libraryof interior, location and climate based ambient sounds into v3.0 whichwill add depth to the audio as well as pay homage to Sounds of Skyrim. Thanks so much for the heads up guys! I'll just be patient and await this happily. :)
