Skeletons falling out of hanging cages in Helgen

During the intro, once you're inside Helgen Keep, you'll reach a room that has a few hanging prisoner cages. The cages are supposed to contain skeletons. But, the skeletons are on the floor instead of the cage as if they've fallen out. Any ideas what is happening here?

I opened Creation Kit and the skeletons have 'no havok settle' checked. I don't know what to do to fix this. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance :)

Me too! I was going mad... even if i dont know the reason behind, i managed to fix that.

Do you happen to have "mrkmetalcage01" in meshes architecture markarth? Deleting it and reverting back to the vanilla asset seem to fix the problem.

Regarding the reasons, that asset is most certainly from smim, high poly project or maybe a medieval clutter replacer i have (i have over 400 mods so is hard to track the original mod)... But the thing is, i have those mods from almost the actual game installation and only in my last new game this problem occurred...

Maybe the recent installation of xmpse created a conflict... Boh, i'm clueless right now...

So my advice is check that meshes and maybe check skeleton, hdt and physics mods... Hope you find the culprit.

P.S. In my game the stormcloack prisoner used to fall as well...

OMG !

I've had an error code on all the gibbets in my game. Been searching threw all my graphics for a while.

You just narrowed it down to SMIM, has to be, since the last version of USLEP came out SMIM was obsolete, needing the esp any way.

I also have upwards of 500 mods, adding & deleting continuously. It's been a while since I've been near a Nordic ruin. found six errors entering Labyrinthian !

Thanks for the info, keep posting !

Deleted symlink, fixxed !

SMIM developers are mistaken, you still need the .esp if you want to use their gibbets :-/
