Mod changes not showing up in game

Recommended Posts

I feel a little sheepish about asking for help, but I've exhausted every option I could think of. I'm a brand new modder, and for the past month or so I've been working on a mod to add marriage lines to the MaleElfHaughty voice type. Here's what I've done so far:

1. Added MEH voice type to the form lists VoicesMarriageAll and VoicesMarriageAdoptionAll

2. Went to the relevant Relationship quests and added the appropriate dialogue and scripts. I tested the sound clips linked to the file paths with LazyVoiceFinder, and they checked out.

3. Added PotentialMarriageFaction to just about every named NPC with the MEH voice type.

4. Created the .esp and cleaned it with SSEEdit.

5. Checked it against my other mods for conflicts. I'm using RDO and AFT, so I was afraid there might be a conflict there, but everything seemed to be fine.

I activated the .esp, put it last in my load order and ran the game in order to test it. (I tested it with Ondolemar and Nelacar, since it's not difficult to get them to like you.) None of the changes I'd made were showing up at all. I even started a brand new game on the off-chance that these changes weren't something that would take effect retroactively, but no dice.

Any suggestions as to what I can do to fix the problem? Thanks in advance!

Have you created a seq file with sseedit?

I attempted this, but SSEEdit won't let me generate a seq file. At the very bottom of the window it says [Create SEQ file done] Processed plugins: 1, Sequence Files Created: 0. It will generate seq files for the masters and for mods I've downloaded, but not my own.

Hmm. I am no expert on that particular issue but what I do know is that any changes to dialogue in the CK will not show up and work without a seq file.

Edit* It has been a while but to create a seq file I am pretty sure you load up all of the masters that your esp is dependant on, along with your esp, in sseedit, then create the seq. You might need to do a quick search on how to generate a seq, but I am fairly sure that is all there is to it.
