abstractzephyr
So, i just started on the nexus, and I downloaded a mod that looked interesting, and now what? the mod is not being picked up my the data files on the skyrim launch screen.I do use steam as my launcher, but i doubt that has anything to do with the failure to detect the new mod downloaded. What do I do? NemesisTheWarlock
Did you read the Mod's instructions for downloading and installing?

starfire42
I'd strongly suggest using a mod manager until ... well, until you find a mod can only be installed manually (thos're fairly rare, though). In the mods portion of the nexus, click the "mod manager" link at the top of the page to download Nexus Mod Manager, the most widely supported (here on the nexus, at least) manager. Belial666
Depending on mod,you gotta unpack it,and ususally put the esp, bsa, esm in data folder, and if it came with other folder like textures, meshes, etc those also. Then it'll see it in the launcher's data files
