IsharaMeradin
Personally, I either go with the default settings that the game picks for my computer or I drop down one level and increase the distances on the stuff like objects & grass etc. In either case I change the shadow bias setting in the ini file upward till I don't have any exterior self cast shadows making ugly flickers on my character. Then leave it at that. I have found that trying to make changes to the ini file doesn't really help my laptop any. I don't get those claimed increases in fps etc... Regarding more often CTDs with hair/eye/skin mods vs HD textures for statics...The HD textures on static objects are only loaded up when that object is loaded up which is not all the time. Hair, eyes & skin textures are loaded anytime an NPC actor using those textures is loaded. Considering that there are tons of NPCs in the game not to mention your character, you'll crash sooner with hair/eye/skin mods than with other types of textures. Farferello
Well the game default selected Ultra High for me. I'd tried dropping to High before, and then down to Medium with a few tweaks in the settings. That makes sense about the textures though, the skin one at least would affect any males and as there's a lot in game it would eat into resources quicker. I'll have to see how it goes, thanks.
