neiljwd
So returning after a year, I wanted to add something to my Skyrim experience, (besides 170 mods), so I'm roleplaying an young Imperial woman, who was mistakenly arrested crossing the border while gathering food. She obviously sided with the Imperial Hadvar, and took up an apprentaship under his uncle, the Blacksmsith, she's also been learning to hunt. Hoping to make friends she completed the Golden Claw quest, but it cost her new friend Sven his life, and she was mortified by the whole experience, and kissed the ground when exiting Bleak Falls Barrow, vowing off adventuring and ignoring 'the dragon problem; hoping they'll go away again, like they did for thousamds of years. Anyhoo. This is my 1st ever attempt at roleplaying, and it is adding a new dimension to my game, - but it is very one dimensional. I'm looking for some quests that will organically lead her down a darker path, and toughen her up some, maybe get her out seeing revenge? Just some motivation for her to become an adventurer. She can go exploring any of the holds for any quests, her overly protective father has bought her all the DLC, and will supply her with any mods she needs, so no suggestion is too much work. Please help her tackle the Skyrim game properly, as it's getting a bit slow as just a life simulator!
FiftyTifty
All the daedric quests. Vaermina's, Mephala's and Namira's (ESPECIALLY NAMIRA'S. That was just disturbingly awesome). ...That's about it as far as I know.
Glion
Dark Brotherhood Questline was the first thing that poped when I read "seeking revenge"...As for a Darker Path, definatly Namira's quest...
EmuXanadu
The Daedric quest for Molag Bal in Markath is quite dark, actually kind of funny too. The Namira one as people have already mentioned because that is really dark and sick. The Boethia one is really good too because you have to betray your friends for power but if I remember you have to be maybe Level 15 or something for that. Hircine's quest is quite dark and the background to it is pretty unpleasant. Thieves Guild is an option though, rob someone at random. take everything that isn't nailed down during the dead of night and for the real icing on the cake, murder them in their sleep. neiljwd
Hmm the quests so far, I kinda recall, and I feel they're ones already for a hardened adventurer, I was looking for tamer ones? Something to get her rolling.
dragonchris152
Well anything with the promise of power is corrupting. For starting out perhaps thieves guild or that one quest from the argonian in solitude. The solitude quest actually fits pretty well as it seems like a simple little job only for it to get more complicated. Perhaps start there and head into the thieves guild after. gsmanners
To become a hard killer, you really just need to wander around in Riften for a while. Maybe visit a certain orphanage?
Triaxx2
Meridia's. That's the quest. After all, the undead monsters in Bleak Falls are what killed Sven right? So when Meridia asks her to go in and pound the undead to dust, she should be all for it. Alternately, try Blood on the Ice. It's a more mental quest, than a physical one, but it should disgust her enough to hate necromancers. Perhaps she wants to write a ballad in Sven's honor, so she heads to Solitude and gets caught up with the Bards.
Starman973
There is the black blade in Whiterun. You just need some good pickpocketing, and to ask the bartender in town about rumors. After talkign to the jarl's kid, you'll be talking to a door, then talking to a kid, then pickpocketing the Jarl's mage for the key to open the door to a weapon that will lead you down the dark path. StayFrosty05
@neiljwd....I see two possibilities myself here....am an RP Demon, I couldn't imagine playing without a totally absorbing RP. *MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD*....... For slow corruption I would suggest maybe starting with ambiguous situations...situations that leave her floundering and not sure if she has done the right thing....three quests stand out to me here. 1/ Companions through to Werewolf stage and RP that she loses control in the Beast Form and rampages through Whiterun...after she has come to and returned to Whiterun, she sees the carnage...doesn't remember doing it, but knows she is the cause...is raked by guilt but starts to feel the need to feed, the Beast Blood calls her and she begins to grow addicted to the violence, begins to love it....And take it from there, you can cure her....her vain attempt to dispel this Beast inside her, thinking it will quell her new found blood lust, but it doesn't and she starts seeking violence elsewhere, leading her down the slippery slope into darkness as such. 2/ Speak to Aventius Aretino...the boy in Windhelm....her heart goes out to this kid and so decides to fulfill his wish, feeling she can find some redemption in her loss of Sven by doing so....She gets to Riften and sees this weak but cruel old lady (or are the kids just making stories up?) and kill the old woman....once the DB has contacted her, she panics and kills one of the captives....But don't go to the DB directly after, leave it for a time, let your girls guilt and confusion build up and maybe she even actually secretly enjoyed the easy kills of the helpless and it's eating at her....She eventually starts picking other victims (the innocent), first fantasizing about killing them, but eventually finds one alone (maybe a Farmer on the road) and kills him and finds to her surprise it is easier than she thought, the guilt seems to be dissipating...welcome to the dark side.... 3/ Taking sides in the Reach....side with Madannach....it seems the right thing to do, but then in the escape Madannach and his crew slaughtering the citizens, she joins in..caught up in the excitement of the moment....only realizing after the fact as to what she has done....This one would be important in timing....when I help Madannach (always do) I make sure the escape is timed in the late, late night, about 2-3 am (lose no citizens that way, only guards)....You want to time your escape during the day for maximum citizen loss and effect....You can back this one up with a double hit....as she wanders the Reach trying to come to terms with what she did, she can stumble across Peryrites Shrine and start that quest (though i think you need to be a higher level to do so)...wiping out the Afflicted....make sure she takes her time sneaking through their stronghold though and listens in on their conversations before dispatching them....After all this she needs to find a way to convince herself she has done the right thing and justify her actions...thus leading her down the dark path in her found justifications. 4/ Or any combination of the above. I hope this helps....good luck and have fun.... Edited February 21, 2013 by StayFrosty05
