da:awakening additem console command for gifts

hello, i can't seem to get the additem console command for gifts to work in DA Awakenings

 

in my console command i will type something like: runscript additem gxa_im_gift_anders_1.uti 1

 

or

 

runscript additem gxa_im_gift_oghren_pony.uti 1

 

and still nothing works!

 

i am not sure what i am doing wrong.

 

also i am using the add item script-console from nexusmods by hdhd.

You need to understand how DAO/DAA 'additem' scripts work. They don't add every possible item; rather, they will only add items that are specifically included in the script. (If you open the *.nss file of the script, you will see that it consists of hundreds of lines, each one a separate item!)

 

The modder helpfully provided a text file list of all items included, and searching that with the string 'gxa_im_gift_' gives no results, which means that Awakening gifts are not obtainable with that particular script.

 

tl; dr, you are asking the script to do something it can't do because the modder didn't tell the script to do it.

 

Luckily for you, there is an alternative 'Improved' version of the script which DOES include the Awakening gift items: AddItem with Console Improved - Script.
