SemprusGalligan
Okay, so I've made my own custom sword via the Creation Kit. It's a Bound Sword, but it's wieldable instead of having to summon. Meaning it's actually in your inventory under the Weapons category. The problem is that it is not truly visible untill you've unsheathed it. When it's equipped and your not holding it out in front of you, in your attack stance, it is not visible. It is also not visible in your inventory. You can not preview it on the right hand side.So if you drop it you can't see where it is.There is no 3d model when it's not being used. Can anyone help with this? I'd like to see it sheathed as still a Bound Sword. But if I could just make it into a Daedric Sword that would suffice. DarthJay
are you serious. Why not just make a regular sword. A bound sword you summon and when you sheath it goes a way for a reason. What you are trying to do is contradictory.
QaxeIsKaze
Obviously S.G. wants a glowing, sexy blue sword! 1. If it's just glowy blue coolness you're after, ou can always make a copy of MG07DraugrMagicSword, and put whatever enchantments you want on it. It won't look daedric (because it's nordic) but at least it's transluscent, glowy blue! If you do this, remember you'll need to make a temper recipe too, else you won't be able to temper the thang. 2. I have played around with this a little bit myself, trying to put a glow on other weapons. I've come to the conclusion that the effect is in the artwork of the weapon itself, rather than a "magic effect" that alters the image of the weapon. Did you try picking it up your created bound-sword and using it? If it is visible in 1st person, but not when you drop it, it might mean there isn't any artwork for when it lies on the ground. As you probably noticed, in the bound weapon file, the item cannot be dropped...maybe that is why. I would take some time to look at the bound weapon magic effect files, maybe a hint in there. Note: There are 3 effects files for the sword. I couldn't get this to work either, but you may see something I missed. Also, take a look at this page. Someone is discussing making a "flaming sword" http://www.creationkit.com/Flaming_Sword Edited March 9, 2013 by Ahondara
