Ever had a problem in the last couple weeks where G.E.C.K. just plain frustrated you for one reason or another?

This is a thread where we can put up our ideas for thing we would like to see changed or added to G.E.C.K..

Feel free to post any ideas, or discuss the list

Ill get the list started,

1. Way to change the form id of an object/entity/item/ect.

2. Way to delete things from your .esp file

3. Fix crashes that occur while closing G.E.C.K.

4. Built in Nif/DDS editor

5. Redone dialogue system to be easier to use and vista compatible

6. Ability to view only the files contained in an esp (view toggle button?)

7.

8.

9.

honestly all I'd like is a couple things...

1. Ability to revert back to the original object (be it npc/item/weapon/texture/whatever) with a click of a button (I made some changes to Three Dog in an all-in-one mod of my own where I change a few NPC's names..skin/hair color etc and Three Dog I made hispanic and lightened his skin tone...which looks fine in geck..but in game he has the modified head..but his skin texture is still dark brown like his original..so it's hard to revert him back without losing all the other NPC changes)

2. a built in texture and .nif editor (so you can create your new weapons/armor/whatever right in GECK without having to worry about importing/exporting and conflicts).

OH..and I guess..more then a couple...

3. A "Wizard" that let's you easliy create Quests/NPC's.

Hell I'd be happier then poo if it only had ONE of those (though if not all I'd rather it be 1 or 3..2's actually my least concern..actually if I could chose it'd be 3, 1, 2 in order)

If you could delete the files for threedog out of your .esp, the vanilla version would be the one the game uses. But like i put in the list theres no way to delete stuff.

Btw what do you mean by "wizard"

Crashes upon exit are annoying.

It'd be nice if you could toggle between layers upon your levels. So you aren't stuck clicking on the lights for an hour, when you you just want to click on that damn chair.

Couldnt you just move it closer? Using the ~ in geck to get the noclip cam is pretty useful for getting in close.

By "Wizard" I mean an auto program where you put in some parameters and it automatically compiles it for you...like..start the wizard for an npc...you enter the name..alter the look..it asks you the greeting dialogue..conditions to hire...melee/ranged txt options...etc and it compiles it for you and boom...NPC...

other game editors have things like this...so do some art programs...etc...for the life of me I can't think of any game/program in particular...lol..but they exist....

That would be really useful. I would love to see that.
