charwo
I have a small mod, and proper permissions, to make a quick and easy fix for Operation Anchorage: http://imageshack.us/a/img259/5533/screenshot8q.png Because whether or not you think the post war world should look dead (it shouldn't), the pre-war world was very much living like ours. Now, I have the mesh file. How do I make a mod that includes this mesh change (it's only the standing tree mesh) and nothing else, then post it for download? All I need is to make sure the mod package I create is clean and not filled with gollbygook and away it goes! Thank you.

prensa
charwo - Hello! If it's an .esp & mesh mod, the .esp placing the new trees in place of the old, all you need to clean it is FO3Edit:http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/637Make a backup of your mod in case something goes wrong. :)Load up it up in FO3Edit & go through your mod .esp looking for anything that should not be changed. Most common is accidental movement of items. Since you are making only a specific change this should be a simple task as things you didn't mean to change should stand out. When you find something that should not have been changed, right click & rmove it.Remember to save the changes by clicking OK when you close FO3Edit.Now if the trees you are replacing in Anchorage are unique to that DLC & you are just replacing them en masse with the a new model, then you don't need an .esp for that & just need to pack up the new mesh & textures into a folder structure matching that of where the files should end up.Turn that into an archive & test that it works by opening that archive with the mod manager & making sure it places the files correctly.Hope this helps!Prensa
charwo
That should. Although I need to go back to the beginning of the nine part series for Fallout 3 modding that the FO3edit link has. This will keep me busy for a while, but I think it will answer a lot of questions. I'll post here if I have questions again. Thank you!
