LE Funeral Mod

Basically this mod would be a way for the player to hold ceremonies and create memorials for fallen comrades. You'd go to a special temple somewhere and speak to the priest. You'd tell him some basics about the deceased, pick a type of ceremony, choose a grave marker, enter the deceased's name, and pay a fee. The memorial stone would then be placed in the graveyard and the priest would perform the ceremony. Mourners would come and this would work very much like a wedding ceremony, drawing on the same list of "player friends".

 

Activating one of the memorials would give read the small inscription, something like "In memory of a brave warrior, Bob." the "brave warrior" bit would come from telling the priest about the deceased. Activating a memorial as well would confer a buff much like giving coin to a beggar.

 

If someone wanted to take this on I'd be more than willing to help. The only reason I'm not doing it is I'm not good enough with scripting to do it. I'd really be more than willing to do everything BUT the scripting and any scripting that could easily be taught.

Oh very good idea ! It should add alot of immersion.

I've seen theres a funaral robe and hat in the Ck, you can use this as cloth for the ceremonies ^^.


I second this request, it look awesome. Unfortunatly, dont have any skills in modding yet but if someone take this idea in his hands, it will be nice !
