Hey there, damartins;

Sorry you're having problems, but since you don't tell us;

-- what platform you're using

-- what install you have

-- what you've already tried

there's not much anyone can do to help you except point you to the DA-Wiki, which has explicit instructions: "Origins Console".

The DA:O Command (or, "Developer") Console works in every single (PC) installation of the game.

Every. Single. One.

It works with the retail disc install, and with the downloaded EA/Origin, Steam, and GameStop versions.
It works with the original piecemeal DLC installations, and with the "Ultimate Edition" all-in-one.
It works with the out-of-the-box ver. 1.0, and with all patches through 1.05 (which I recommend you install.)
It works on US, and non-US keyboard layouts (although adjustments to the keybindings may be required.)
It works with on WinXP, Win7, Win7/64-bit, Win8, and Win8/64-bit.
(I suppose it would even work on WinXP/64-bit, but I've never heard of anyone running that on a home rig! ;D )

It just works.

If it doesn't, then you've missed or messed-up a step in the instructions.

For the EA/Origins install on my Win8 Pro/64-bit machine the desktop shortcut "Target:" line reads:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition\bin_ship"

The "Start in:" line reads:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition\bin_ship"

No edits to anything else were required (on my rig).

Your paths/folder names need to the ones appropriate to your install. :thumbsup:

i should just have to add -enabledeveloperconsole in target line right?

Well... That depends upon what you have before the switch, doesn't it? ;D

And it especially depends upon whether what you have before the switch is correct for your set-up! :thumbsup:

NOTE: I always make a NEW shortcut to use the Console (on those few occasions I want it.) When the Console is enabled the game does NOT update your on-line profile with character progress, portraits, screenshots, or achievements. So it's good to keep the original available.
