whitless Posted February 23, 2013 Share Posted February 23, 2013 The following may be a problem with ScenicCarriages. I'm not sure. It seems like a bigger problem than that, because it affects saves from before I installed it.That said:The mods and plugins I have installed are in the attached picture.Briefly, this is what happened: I talk to Bjorlam outside Whiterun, buy a trip to Falkreath, reappear in the back of the carriage as per usual. I guess it hit a bad cell -- carriage is stuck, horse runs in place. This goes on for a minute or two. I go to sleep ingame, a feature of SC. When I get out at Falkreath, it seems normal, I'm in 3P as usual. Normal conversation with a guard. I walk into Falkreath...and I go into the ground, and then under it. I can see underneath the buildings, can see the pilings, etc. There's a blue background. I can walk back "up" by pointing my view up and walking that way, can stand on the ground and appear normal, but then when I walk I go back under. It reminds me of the swimming mechanics. I turn off the game without saving.I reboot (using SKSE, which I always use, for SkyrimUI). Steam installs a new update or something. I'd saved before I asked the cabby for a ride. However, now the problem is worse -- I can't see anything except the distant sky background and strips of ground.The Skyrim logo did not load in the opening screen. The first few times I booted, parts of the objects would load -- one part of the alchemy table, part of what looked like a warhammer. After I deactivated ScenicCarriages with the NMM, now there are no objects during load screens. When I reactivated it, I got the partially loaded images again, but everything looks the same in-game. The one ScenicCarriages setting I've messed with is setting the horse to run. 3rd person, followers, etc are disabled. I have loaded previous saves and have the same problem. I had a pre-ScenicCarriages save in Uthgerd's house in Whiterun...the distant sky, occasional fire pit, and part of the terrain loads. Also, no images load in the items menu, though the images for spells do load. Objects' titles, stats, etc and the interface load -- just not the images of the items themselves. The start menu does load, as does the compass at the top.What should I do?Is there more information I can give you to help you understand my problem?Thank you for your time, reader!
